Luna rolled her eyes slightly at Rolf and then gave Molly a sidelong glance, “No worries, Molly. We are walking to the portkey, which is aways away, but we’ll make good time.” She nodded to the boys and Lysander and Lorcan fell into step in front of their parents, while Rolf raised an eyebrow expectantly towards Molly.
“You’ll be fine, I suppose?” He tilted his head, unsure if this girl was used to tough camping trips or camping trips in general.
”I’ll be fine, thank you, Mr. Scamander.” Molly wasn’t the most out doorsy girl but she could certainly handle herself. To reassure herself, she patted her pocket to double check her wand was still securely tucked away.
”May I ask why Lysander is muted.” She asked, not wanting to bother either of the adults but desperately wanted to know. Not that she was going to admit she missed Lysander’s voice though.

Lysander nodded pathetically, whilst Luna snatched a bag from the floor that would ultimately belong to Lorcan, whenever he arrived. Immediately as Molly started talking though, Rolf reeled, taken aback by how she was speaking to them.
“We’re waiting,” Luna said softly, placing a hand against Rolf’s shoulder to comfort him. Lysander tried to cough, but no sound came out and Luna looked back to see Lorcan approaching them. “Oh! There you are!”
Rolf simply grunted, looking back at Molly, “We’re walking all the way.”
”Portkey would be much more efficient, Mr. Scamander.” Molly replied, placing one hand on her hip as she took her bag in the other. Nodding at Lorcan in hello, she frowned and turned back to Rolf. She wasn’t entirely sure where they were going, but surely it was too far to walk to before dark…
And it wasn’t as if the portkey would be unsafe, it was proven to be one of the most effective ways of transportation! She let out a sigh and rolled her eyes. It was going to be a long trip.

Lysander gestured vaguely, trying to get the point across that he was acknowledging the fact that she was talking to him, but sadly he couldn’t talk or anything, so he just put a hand to the small of her back and kissed her cheek. Luna smiled at this display of affection and went to wrap her arms around Rolf’s waist. “Where’s Lore?”
Rolf shrugged in response and looked towards Lysander, who separated from Molly and gestured vaguely once more before just shrugging, because he didn’t know where his twin was at this moment.
”Mmm, Lorcan’s coming?” Molly asked no one in particular, knowing she should’ve expected that he was since he was their son after all. She looked oddly at Lysander after his prolonged silence but shrugged it off, deciding it might be some kind of phase of his.
She turned back to her bag and picked it up. “Perhaps he’ll meet us outside. There’s no sense in waiting. If you set up a portkey we may miss it if we wait too long.” Molly pointed out, looking at Luna and Rolf before turning back to Lysander. “You alright there?”

Luna blinked slowly, then smiled gratefully at Molly before settling down to slip her shoes back onto her feet. Rolf breathed a sigh of relief and extended a hand towards Molly. “Hello,” he said gruffly, “I’m Rolf Scamander, call me Rolf. This is-“
“I’m Luna!” Luna cut in, looking up with a wide smile on her face, as if she didn’t want to be introduced by another person, even if he were her husband. Lysander shifted his weight to his other leg.
Molly reached forward and shook Rolf’s hand briefly, her dislike for him still lingering. “It’s a pleasure to meet both of you.” She smiled slightly, knowing most of her family was rather close with the family. She turned to look back at Lysander and set down her bag before flinging her arms around his neck and hugging him tightly.
She was partially curious as to how his parents would react, but also missing him even if it had just been a little while- not that she’d ever admit that fact of course. “Hello, Lysander.”

Luna and Rolf were in a panic, more so Rolf than Luna, who was calmly bending down to check behind a statue to see if her shoes had gone missing there, while Rolf was tossing things over, much to the displeasure of the Headmistress. Lysander had his bag packed and ready, slinging it across his shoulder; he watched his parents with a slight smile on his face, because they were slightly comedic really, especially since Lysander saw his mother’s shoes, which were dangling from the archway suspiciously. “Mum.” He tried, but only received a silence.
Rolf Scamander threw his hands up and looked at the Headmistress, who looked at Lysander, who looked at the door. Where was Molly? He knew that she wouldn’t just skip out on this, but he was feeling so jittery because of this whole thing and - “Mum, your -” but once again he was enveloped in a silence. This time spell-induced by his father who was fuming. Lysander heaved a silent sigh and shook his head, leaning on the archway, deciding that he quite liked being silent better for the moment.
Molly was coming down the stairs when she saw the Scamanders near the entrance- looking for something it seemed. As she came down the stairs, she nodded in acknowledgment at Lysander. “Sorry I’m late.” She called out, catching everyone’s attention.
She couldn’t help but notice that Mrs. Scamander’s shoes were missing. Looking up, she sighed and pulled out her wand. “Wingardium Leviosa.” She murmured, guiding the shoes down from the archway and right in front of Luna. “I think you were looking for these?”

Molly bit her lower lip as she looked at her small suitcase. She had charmed it so that it would carry more than it usually would- thankfully. After all, if she hadn’t she may not have been able to bring all her books along with her clothes. She let out a soft sigh and finally closed the case after staring at it for the past five minutes. She still couldn’t believe that Lysander had invited her along on a family camping trip. Who knew what would happen…
Taking the suitcase off her bed, she wheeled it behind her and headed to the entrance area of Hogwarts. Pulling her coat tighter around her, she couldn’t help but wonder how many pairs of shoes Lysander was likely to lose on this trip. And she sure hoped Luna and Rolf liked her, or at the least, found her bearable.
“How’d you get your hand like that?!”
“Er, I actually didn’t mean too…”
“Oh.”

“Who cares?” He shrugged and took a step away from her, picking up his disposed books, and situating them in his hands so he could walk with them. Only allowing himself on peek at Molly as he did so, he really could see the worry etched into her face and it scared him; made him worry.
“I don’t…” She frowned, trailing off. “It wouldn’t do…” She didn’t want to offend Lysander in any way. Molly brushed off her robes, straightening them. “I don’t want to have any misunderstandings between the other students.” She said tersely.
